On September 24, 2017, Second Baptist Church celebrated Men and Women’s Day. Information about the speakers for the morning and afternoon events can be found here. It was a joyous event during which the men announced that they raised $900, while the women announced that they raised more than $1500.

On Sunday September 3, Brother Roosevelt Holliday joined the community of believers at Second Baptist Church. He was baptized by Rev. Larry Rowe assisted by Deacon Cleveland Stallworth.

Second Baptist Church will support Men’s and Women’s Day at Galatians Missionary Baptist Church, New Albany
Members of Second Baptist Church are encouraged to attend. The church van will depart at 9:15 am.
For those who do not intend to travel to New Albany, the doors of the Church will be open.

On Sunday August 6, 2017, two new members were welcomed into the fellowship of believers at Second Baptist Church.

The Women’s Ministry of Second Baptist came together to change lives of some little girls in Africa by sewing dresses for the Little Dresses for Africa project. The project was coordinated by the Southeastern District.
Prayer is one of the highest functions and important privileges of the Christian life. Prayer is the immediate desire of the heart of a new life in Christ to talk and commune with the Father.
